Since the original Spider-Man with Tobey Maguire came out so long ago, we all were wondering when the Web Slinger was going to finally join the MCU after Iron Man debuted almost a decade ago. But Sony kept holding onto those rights and released various versions of the Web Slinger throughout the last decade. Were they successful? Yes, some were and some were just a flop. However after the Marvel Cinematic Universe began, many wondered when Sony would give up their rights and finally allow Marvel to utilize one of the greatest superheroes known to man; well, finally they did.
Spider-Man debuted his appearance briefly during Captain America: Civil War. Now, for those that have read the comic version of Civil War, that was a horrible way to debut Spider-Man as he and his family horrendously get attacked. However, just like The Walking Dead, the MCU doesn’t always go along with the comics.
So enter’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, the latest MCU film to enter the fray. From what we have seen, and what Tom Holland has to offer, we can honestly say from watching the trailer, and his appearance in Civil War, that this might very well be the Peter Parker/Spider-Man we have all been waiting for. FINALLY.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7, 2017.
