Watch Ozzy Osbourne Inspire Kids In New Commercial

  • by

In a fun new ad, we see Ozzy Osbourne giving some unexpected advice to kids about a drink powder. Ozzy has some crazy stories from his past, especially with substances. So, when Liquid Death, the company behind the new product called Death Dust, thought about who could help deliver their message, Ozzy was their top choice.

Addressing Misuse with Humor and Advice

Death Dust is all about making drinks taste better in a healthy way. But because of its name and powder form, some people online started joking in a way that worried the makers. They asked, “Can I snort it?” To put the jokes to rest, the brand answered clearly: “Death Dust is best when mixed with 16-19oz of water or tea. Please do not attempt to snort Death Dust.” But the conversation didn’t stop there. Someone else chimed in: “Best if with water, just okay if snorted,” and another added: “I am not hearing a ‘no’.”

To tackle this issue head-on, Liquid Death created a commercial. In this ad, Ozzy is shown in the back of a UV, pulling up just as two kids are about to drink some Death Dust. With a nod to his past, Ozzy mistakenly thinks they’re planning to misuse the powder and quickly warns them not to. “Take it from me – don’t snort that stuff!” he tells them. He adds, “Whatever you do, don’t try freebasing it… and never ever inject it.” The scene cuts off right as Ozzy is about to explain what “boofing” a drug means.

Liquid Death shared this ad not just for laughs but also to send a serious message in a way that’d stick, especially with young folks. They said, “Hey kids, Ozzy knows best. Take it from a guy who knows a thing or two about bad decisions: Liquid Death’s more intensely flavored Death Dust hydration powder is much safer when you mix it with water and drink it.”

From Wild Rock Days to Wise Words

The interesting path of album covers in rock history shows how things have evolved – from simple artist pictures to some truly unique and out-there designs. This shift underscores the overall change from the straightforward to the wonderfully weird in rock music context.

Similarly, Black Sabbath’s experiences, including their dislike for one of their own albums, highlights the complexities and the unexpected turns in the music world. It shows how artists navigate their creativity and public reception, paralleling Ozzy’s changing public roles—from a rock star known for wild behavior to someone who humorously advises kids on safe habits.

This commercial does more than just promote a product. It cleverly uses Ozzy’s notorious history to make a vital point about health and safety. Mixing humor with serious advice, it reminds us that sometimes, listening to those who have been there before can save us from making some pretty bad choices.
