Not every rumor is worth chasing, but when a claim about a rock legend’s health starts circulating, it’s hard not to notice. Neal Schon, the iconic guitarist, recently found himself at the center of such a rumor, but instead of fueling the fire, he decided to address it with humor.
A YouTube streamer claimed that Schon was battling a serious illness. When confronted with the rumor, Schon responded with a simple, “Lol ok,” showing just how much weight he gave to the speculation.
Far from being rattled, Schon added in another comment, complete with laughing emojis, “I think it’s the other way around.” Indeed, sometimes, the best response is a laugh.

Journey’s Legal Drama Continues
Journey is once again embroiled in legal disputes. This time, keyboardist Jonathan Cain has filed a lawsuit against Schon, alleging financial mismanagement.
Cain claims that Schon’s excessive spending habits, including lavish hotel stays, private jet travel, and personal security expenses, have drained the band’s finances and created tension within the group. In response to the allegations, Schon took to social media to defend his actions
He stated, “I don’t know why people believe the media if anything which she’s done is make us a lot of money by attaining the Trade Mark her and I did by ourselves any cost quite a lot of money to attain It – both Jon Cain and Arnel Pineda are benefiting from that equally. It’s split in thirds.”
Schon Offers a Solution to Legal Disputes
Schon has proposed a solution to the ongoing legal disputes within Journey. In response to Jonathan Cain’s allegations of financial mismanagement, Schon suggested eliminating the band’s credit card and allowing the promoter to handle all financial responsibilities.
He proposed that all band members be paid equally and have the freedom to travel as they wish. In a subsequent Facebook post, Schon expressed his frustration with Cain’s allegations.
He described the accusations as “slanderous” and “disruptive” and stated that they could potentially harm the band, crew, promoter, and the ongoing tour with Def Leppard.
The Guitarist Maintains Innocence Amidst Legal Battle
Schon has reiterated his innocence in response to Jonathan Cain’s lawsuit. He stated that Journey has achieved great success thanks to the support of their fans and that Cain has created a “hostile work environment” for both himself and other band members and crew members.
Schon emphasized that the allegations against him are false and that he intends to prove his innocence in court. The ongoing legal dispute has had an impact on Journey’s touring plans.
Two weeks ago, the band announced the cancellation of their UK and Ireland shows as part of their 50th-anniversary tour due to the lawsuit. However, their North American tour with Def Leppard is still scheduled to proceed as planned.
