Catherine “Cat” Glover, a multi-talented artist who left a mark in music and dance, has passed away at 60. Her cause of death remains undisclosed.

A Key Figure in Prince’s Iconic Tours

Glover played a pivotal role as a choreographer, dancer, singer, and rapper during Prince’s Sign O’ the Times tour in 1987 and the Lovesexy tour from 1988 to 1989.

She also appeared in the Sign O’ the Times concert film and the Lovesexy Live broadcast, further showcasing her incredible talent.

Her most memorable contribution was rapping on Prince’s 1988 single “Alphabet St.” from the Lovesexy album. Glover’s vocals can also be heard on his Black Album, which had a brief release in 1994 after being shelved in 1987.

Glover’s Deep Admiration for Prince

In a 1987 interview with Video Soul, Glover shared her admiration for Prince, saying she always idolized him for his unmatched creativity.

Glover recalled moments in the studio, watching Prince record everything on his own. “My God, he’s incredible, he really is,” she remarked, clearly in awe of his skills.
