Watch Musicians Deal With Unruly and Violent Fans

  • by

Rock ‘n’ roll has always been about breaking the rules and living on the edge. When artists let loose, the results can be jaw-dropping, unforgettable, and sometimes downright chaotic. These moments are what make rock music legendary.

Some of the most over-the-top antics have been immortalized on camera. Whether it’s a wild performance on stage or a shocking outburst during an interview, these instances show rock stars at their most raw and unfiltered.

From epic destruction to unplanned chaos, these clips remind us why rock ‘n’ roll remains unpredictable and electrifying. Here are three outrageous moments that still leave fans talking.

Robbie Williams’ Shoved Off the Stage

Robbie Williams has seen it all in the music world, from his boy band days with Take That to his solo career. Over the years, he’s had his fair share of strange fan interactions. However, one particular event in 2001 still stands out.

While performing in Germany on his Sermon On The Mount Tour, a fan rushed the stage and violently shoved Williams off the edge. The impact sent Williams crashing to the floor, landing on top of another fan.

Miraculously, despite the fall, Williams avoided serious injury. Although he hit his head on the way down, he escaped with only bruises, making it a lucky outcome for the rock star.

Lou Reed Got His Rear Bitten

Rock stars often face violent fans, especially during intense live performances. But the idea of such behavior happening at a Lou Reed or Velvet Underground concert seems hard to imagine. Yet, that’s exactly what went down during a performance in New York.

While playing with The Velvet Underground, an audience member screamed, broke through security, and bizarrely bit Reed on the rear. After a brief struggle, security removed the offender, and Reed, surprisingly, remained unfazed.

Though human bites can be highly dangerous, Reed took it all in stride. He later quipped, “America seems to breed real animals,” reflecting on the strange encounter.

Angus Young Has Glasses of Beer Thrown at Him

In 2000, AC/DC’s Angus Young was performing in Arizona when an unruly fan began provoking him from the crowd. At first, Young chose to ignore the disturbance. But things escalated when the fan threw a glass of beer at him during “Badboy Boogie.”

Young kept his cool and pointed out the offender to security. However, when another glass was hurled at him, Young decided he’d had enough. He grabbed his guitar and marched toward the fan, ready to take action.

Rather than throwing a punch, Young simply delivered a stern verbal reprimand while holding the fan’s nose shut with his fingers. Security quickly escorted the fan out, and miraculously, Young escaped without any serious injuries from the glass.
