The Beatles Win Big at the 2025 Grammy Awards – Classic Rock Immortality At Its Finest

  • by

In a night filled with powerful performances and memorable wins, The Beatles made history yet again at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The legendary band secured the coveted Record of the Year award for their song Now and Then, a track hailed as their final release.

Completing a Musical Journey

Now and Then was brought to life decades after John Lennon’s passing, thanks to advanced audio restoration technology. Lennon’s vocal demo, recorded before his death, was isolated and enhanced, allowing Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to collaborate and complete the track. This groundbreaking achievement resulted in a heartfelt tribute to the band’s legacy and demonstrated the enduring power of their music.

In addition to winning Record of the Year, The Beatles also claimed the award for Best Rock Performance, further solidifying their relevance and influence in the modern music landscape.

A Legacy That Transcends Generations

Emerging from Liverpool in the early 1960s, The Beatles revolutionized popular music with their innovative sound and cultural impact. With timeless hits like Hey Jude, Let It Be, and Yesterday, the band has left an indelible mark on music history. Their influence extends beyond music, shaping fashion, attitudes, and social movements.

Despite disbanding over five decades ago, their music inspires new generations. The success of Now and Then demonstrates that The Beatles’ artistry remains as vital and impactful as ever.

Sean Lennon’s Speech On Behalf Of Beatles

John Lennon’s son Sean Lennon was the one who accepted the Beatles award and it was a surreal moment seeing how The Beatles just became the best band in the world with this win. Here’s what Sean said in his speech.

“Since no-one is coming up to take this award, I figured I’d come and sit in. I really didn’t expect to be accepting this award on behalf of my father’s group, The Beatles,” he said.

“It’s really incredible, if you think about it. The Beatles have done so much incredible work and they’re still in the culture and people still listen to the music. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the greatest band of all time.”

“I think I was supposed to be here with Giles Martin who mixed this with Paul and he did an incredible job. I don’t know. I just want to say play The Beatles music to your kids. I feel like the world can’t afford to forget about people like The Beatles. We need this music in the world. We need peace and love and we need the magic of the ‘60s to say alive.”
