Sabrina Carpenter may have kept it professional while filming her new music video remix with Dolly Parton, but between takes, she couldn’t hide her excitement about working with the Queen of Country. And honestly, who could blame her?
Sabrina’s Priceless Reaction to Dolly
In a behind-the-scenes clip posted to Parton’s TikTok on February 19, Carpenter arrives on set in a checkered pinup leotard, complete with sky-high teased hair. The moment she spots Dolly—rocking sparkly shoulder pads and oversized sunglasses—she gasps and gushes, “You look so cute! You look amazing.”
The video also captures the duo inside a rusty old pickup truck, used in the music video to tow a kidnapped man with a bag over his head. Fans were quick to notice that his outfit looks eerily similar to one worn by Carpenter’s ex, Barry Keoghan, in the original “Please Please Please” video. While leaning in close to Parton, Carpenter jokes to the camera, “We’re in a pickup truck. Big hair. The stars are all really aligning.”
A Blonde Bonding Moment
As the behind-the-scenes footage continues, the two artists share laughs between takes. At one point, Dolly declares, “We’re little, we’re blonde and we love each other,” sending Carpenter into a fit of giggles.
Parton’s caption for the TikTok reads: “Two blondes are one thing, a collab with @Sabrina Carpenter is another.”
New Music and a Grammy Win
The post comes just five days after their remix of “Please Please Please” dropped on Valentine’s Day as part of Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet (Deluxe) edition. The expanded album follows the original “Short n’ Sweet”, which recently won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2025 Grammys. Along with the remix, the deluxe version includes four new songs: “15 Minutes,” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews.”
On release day, Carpenter and Parton also shared a clip from their first-ever meeting. In the video, Carpenter excitedly hugs her idol and exclaims, “I didn’t know how tall you were … you’re like my height!” before adding that she “can’t wait” to look like Dolly when she gets older.
