  • by

A new wave of rock is emerging, and PLUSH, a group of powerhouse women, is leading the way with pride. This all-female rock band from New York is here to make a big impression. Even though they are all in their early 20s, their stage presence and talent betray years of experience.

Meet the Band

PLUSH is led by Moriah Formica, a fierce vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist who first gained national attention on The Voice. Alongside her are bassist Ashley Suppa, guitarist Bella Perron, and drummer Brooke Colucci—each one a musical force in her own right. Together, they create a band that combines the energy of classic rock with a new twist.

Their goal? to bring back the essence of authentic rock music and encourage a new generation, particularly young women, to pursue their goals unapologetically. They are performing more than just music. They are expressing themselves.

A Rock Classic Reimagined

Heart’s 1977 hit “Barracuda” is a rock anthem known for its fiery vocals, hard-driving guitar riffs, and no-nonsense attitude. Written by Ann and Nancy Wilson along with Roger Fisher and Michael Derosier, the song hit No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of Heart’s most iconic tracks.

PLUSH took this already legendary song and gave it their own heavy-hitting spin—and it’s incredible. Moriah belts out the vocals with raw power and grit, while the band crushes the tight rhythm and electric energy that makes “Barracuda” so unforgettable.

Powerful Message, Powerful Sound

Instead of merely covering the greats, PLUSH is paying tribute to them while forging its own route. They demonstrate their appreciation for rock’s history and readiness to contribute to its future with their rendition of “Barracuda.” Take a look at the video below to see why PLUSH is making a big impression and cranking up the volume right:
